The “Knowledge Olympiad” Foundation donated new textbooks to the Sarajevo Secondary School of Economics
Sarajevo, February 17, 2025 – The "Knowledge Olympiad" Foundation has donated a set of textbooks to the Sarajevo Secondary School of Economics. The textbooks aimed at the professional development of future economic technicians using new learning methodologies were handed over to the school's principal, Amira Kadrispahić, by Muhamed Pilav, founder and member of the Board of Directors of this non-governmental and non-profit Foundation.
“By profession, I am also an economist, and I am involved with the Sarajevo Canton Employers’ Association in developing the relevant curriculum for secondary schools in Sarajevo Canton. Therefore, I am familiar with the situation at the Sarajevo Secondary School of Economics and the textbooks from which important subjects for future economic technicians are taught. In our intention to contribute as a Foundation, we have donated textbooks to the school library with a new advanced approach and methodology for teaching professional subjects for all grades in the fields of economics, entrepreneurship, finance, new technologies, etc. This is the first step, and I hope for a beneficial collaboration between the Foundation and the Sarajevo Secondary School of Economics. Knowledge is the fundamental resource for the development of any society, and our society must become a knowledge society,” said Muhamed Pilav on behalf of the "Knowledge Olympiad" Foundation.
Kadrispahić and Pilav exchanged experiences regarding the improvement of the dual education system. It is well-known that the Sarajevo Secondary School of Economics trains banking technicians in collaboration with banks in Sarajevo using this method. On the other hand, Pilav and his associates implemented the dual education system in his previous furniture factory, MS&WOOD, in Fojnica, which was awarded by the German Chamber of Commerce.
The "Knowledge Olympiad" Foundation is a non-governmental and non-profit organization that focuses on improving the educational system with the goal of acquiring functional knowledge among children, students, and pupils.
